Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the public frontend collects, why it is used and what stays off the public site.
1. Information you provide
The network may receive account details, contact information, messages, correction requests, community submissions, support details and marketplace information that you choose to provide. Do not submit secrets or private information that is not needed.
2. Technical information
Security logs may include IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamps, error details and rate-limit activity. Essential session cookies may be used for security, forms and member sign-in. The frontend does not use advertising trackers by default.
3. How information is used
Information is used to operate and secure the network, answer messages, verify tips, process corrections, provide member features, prevent abuse, improve reliability and meet legal obligations. Information is not sold as a product.
4. Public content and scanner privacy
Public Chatterbox data is filtered before display. Routine EMS calls, exact house numbers, protected minor details, raw audio, raw transcripts, bridge credentials and private source metadata do not belong in the public feed.
5. Sharing
Information may be shared with service providers needed to host, secure or deliver the network; with authorities when legally required or necessary to address an immediate safety or security threat; or with your direction. Public submissions are shared only after editorial review and approval.
6. Retention and security
Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose, security, records or law. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet system can promise absolute security.
7. Your choices
You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information where applicable. Some records may be retained for security, legal or editorial-integrity reasons. Notification preferences can be managed through the Member Hub when connected.
8. Children
The network is not designed to collect unnecessary personal information from children. Protected minor details are withheld from public scanner reporting. A parent or guardian should contact Hillbilly Bo if they believe a child’s personal information was submitted improperly.
9. Contact and updates
Privacy questions may be sent through the Contact page. This policy may be updated as the network changes; the effective date will show the latest material revision.
Use the Contact page and identify the policy or content involved.
